[olug] RAS for dial-up ISP question

yes i did use nt domain authentication the only reason that they couldn't surf the net for that connection was that the ras assigned ip number was not allowed out to the net.

the thought has crossed my mind about replacing this with something different but i have not done much research into the alternatives. i would thing that there would be some sort of open source alternative, don't know if the setup would require something like samba or just the ability to pass the domain authentication to the right server.
