[olug] Suse 9.0 Sound problem

I just installed Suse 9.0 on a friend's computer and the sound does not 
work.  I researched this a little bit and it looks like both OSS and 
ALSA drivers are compiled into the kernel and they are conflicting.  
How do I fix this?  I'm not on this computer right now, but I can tell 
you that from 'lsmod' there were emu-10k1 drivers loaded for the SB 
Live! card and also some OSS modules.  Any suggestions?
