[olug] Wireless Internet Services in Lincoln?

The organization is located in Talmage, NE. It's their public
library. This organization will give them free service, but in exchange,
wants access to the water towers and for the library to setup customers for
them.
My concern is that I cannot find anything about this company at all,
only their proposal. I cannot find their phone or web page. There is also
not an address listed anywhere on the proposal. There is a local gentleman
in the area that thinks it will be a good idea. I think however the we can
get broadband from Galaxy Communications (Cable Provider), but they haven't
gotten back to me yet.
Thanks,
John

I've never heard of them, and I pretty much know somebody that works
for/runs/etc the ISP's in Lincoln :).
However, remember that wireless broadband is still pretty much in it's
infancy. If it's your only option, or a backup option, go for it.
Also, depending on what this organization is zoned they can get cable
through Internet Nebraska (http://www.inebraska.com) for ~$40/mo. You can
also look into DSL Lite, which IIRC run total around $30 through IN. "Tier
1" DSL is a little higher if you absolutely need the speed.
How much is this company going to charge them? From everything I've seen,
wireless is almost always more expensive than DSL or cable, plus you have
hefty CPE and setup charges on top of it.
