Just for the archives and to mention...
So I woke up this morning, turned my monitor on - only to find no video
signal. That was disheartening, but still I reset the box and waited for
debian to restart. When I went to launch Mozilla-Firebird, I got the
window:
"Select User Profile" dialog. The only available profile was
"default", but when I click "Start Mozilla" it says (of course):
Mozilla cannot use the profile "default" because it is in use.
Please choose another profile or create a new one.
So I was looking for the lock file, and I had difficulty after looking in
an empty ~/mozilla-firebird/ and ~/mozilla/ directory, then found:
~/.phoenix/default/8jmsaiyd.slt/lock
that was it, delete and restart Firebird/Phoenix and back in business.
(still dont know how I lost video signal in the middle of the night)
