Correct. QTParted is essentially an opensource Partition Magic. It's a
gui version of Parted that works with the ntfsresize from the Linux-NTFS
project and is perfect for creating dual-boot boxes where Win2K or XP
are currently installed and there's extra room on the disk..

I've used it to successfully resize (shrink) existing NTFS partitions to
make room for Linux partitions on several occasions with no problems...
BUT, there is always the standard opensource "if you break it, it's not
our fault" disclaimer so anyone planning to do this should backup any
critical data prior.

Additionally, to save time it would be a good idea to run a full
scandisk and defrag on their Win installation before the event.
