I just acquired the use of a Fujifilm Image Memory
Card Reader DPC-R1 (USB interface).  It handles xD
Picture and SmartMedia Cards.

I am hoping to maybe goof around with some embedded
Linux with this thing.  Some web sites say it reads
(obviously),  while other sites claim it reads and
writes.  It should just automagically appear on my USB
chain as a USB mass storage device, but that does not
necessarily imply the ability to write to the cards. 
If anybody has used one of these things with Linux, I
am interested in hearing about your experience.
