I second that. I've been a mythtv user for almost 2 years now and am very
happy with it. Back then, freevo lagged quite far behind myth. However, I
see from freevo.sourceforge.net that it has improved quite a bit. I don't
have any experience with it, though.
I'm very happy with my myth setup. The biggest recommendation I can give
is that Jon and I have probably been through just about every myth-related
issue you can have, so we'll be great help in troubleshooting :)
