[olug] SMB transfer speeds

Hi John,

1) Do you notice same speeds with FTP? (try to be
accurate here with your transfer rates and test with a
very large file 100MB or larger)
2) Try this in your smb.conf:
socket options  = TCP_NODELAY IPTOS_LOWDELAY
SO_SNDBUF=4096 SO_RECBUF=4096
3) Do you have oplocks turned on?  If so, turn them
off. (just for testing)
