This isn't really an answer to your problem but as an FYI to Anyone Who
Cares, I just plugged a Belkin F1DK102P non-powered PS/2 KVM switch into
2 RedHat 9 machines today and everything seems to be working well so
far.
I think the switch was somewhere around $50.
