[olug] Initializing Kernel Modules

When trying to add my little thumbdrive to my RH9 box
and kept getting some mount error.  I've done this
many times, so I checked the kernel modules. 

This is a main one for usb storage:

usb-storage            68628   1  (initializing)

Never seen one initializing before, nore can I rmmod
it to readd it.  Its stuck.  

Anyway to solve this, besides a reboot?
