BIND does not take a huge amount of CPU or memory unless you have HUGE
zones. A P200 is severe overkill. If you have a server or two with CPU
and memory to spare adding BIND (or whatever DNS service is provided on
whatever OS you'll use) generally won't add a huge amount of overhead.
If this system is going to be a slave DNS system, what's the primary?
Windows NT4? Windows 2K or 2K3? BIND? Something else?
What the slave will be depends heavily on what the master is. Not all
DNS server packages implements the full range of functionality specified
in the RFCs - djbdns is one that comes to mind. Your site may have
other requirements (such as Active Directory) that will influence what
you end up using, not to mention compatibility problems with
sub-standard software (such the Windows NT4 DNS service).
