I need to update both of my machines to the newest debian kernel. I see
in the apt database there is kernel-image-2.4-k7 that I need for my duron
700. I'm currently running 2.4.18-bf2.4 from the boot floppies.
apt-cache show says taht kernel-image-2.4-k7 is kernel-image-2.4.22-1-k7.
I want to update to this but am concerned with the "gotchas" that I'll
have when I do this. I have the nvidia driver and kernel module, will I
need to recompile that? I doubt that I'll have module issues. I did
something like this before but I vaguely remember having to use mkinitrd
and stuff, will I have to do this again?
Thanks
Eric
