[olug] browsers

I have Mandrake 8.2.  With that came several browsers.  Konqueror works
fine except it calls up instances of itself for no reason all the time
wasting memory and being very irritating and slowing things to a stop.
I have had as many as 17 instances of konqueror on at one time for
nothing.  Mozilla and the other one don't seem to have access to Java so
i can't use them in many pages.
Can someone tell me what I an do?
