I guess they do a lot of hacking on the tcp/ip stack to get a connection
usable over satellite. I doubt anything will appear for mac or linux for
that matter any time soon.
I'd bite the bullet and turn a $200 microtel pc with windows into a
gateway. You could possibly make it work inside vmware, but I'm not sure
how exactly it is at supporting non standard usb devices.
