[olug] embedded secure shell/copy/ftp

I was looking into putting a secure shell server and scp on our base
station.  The problem is that we only have 8MB of space for programs. 
While the ssh and scp programs themselves fit nicely the libcrypto file
is way too big (1 - 2 MB).  Has anybody put ssh and scp with the
appropriate libs on a small embedded linux system?
