I need to copy some files via tftp from a cisco router to a box I had
lying around.
I installed the Redhat tftp RPMs for rh72. Created a folder /var/tftp,
changed the xinetd.d/tftp entry from /tftpboot to /var/tftp. Also added logging
feature, and ability to create files (see man tftpd).
xinetd.d/tftp
server_args = -l -c -s /var/tftp
The /tftpboot directory is /not/ created when installing the Redhat rpm.
What directory permissions need to be on the target directory?
Here is my target directory (this is only a temporary service, it'll be
gone once I'm done with it)
drwxrw-rw- 2 nobody root 4096 May 8 08:56 /var/tftp
When sending a file to the tftp server, things start out fine, then the
connection fails.
May 8 13:56:48 machine in.tftpd[26949]: receiving filename1
May 8 13:57:13 machine in.tftpd[26949]: tftpd: read: Connection refused
Interesting thing is, the file is created fine - I have a directory entry,
but it's a zero length file. There simply isn't any writes after
the directory table entry.
-rw-rw-rw- 1 nobody nobody 0 May 8 08:56 filename1
Has anyone seen this before?
Very odd..
