Yes, I looked at this package as well.  There were a few issues I found 
reported on the Usent, most notably that it can only handle a few users 
efficiently.  That's not going to be a problem at first since I'll be the 
only user (even though I need access from multiple locations), but I'm also 
considering setting up a local Usenet group which would have more users.  
Once I get to that point I'll need leafnode or INN anyway, with NewsCache 
just multiplexing that server to handle the user load (for leafnode), so 
maybe I should just go with leafnode now.  But I'd still like to get 
NewsCache running, darn it! :)
