Some more quick thoughts if this is an isa pnp card are you running the isapnp stuff to make pnp work?  Did you consider disabling pnp on the card and just use it with set values?  These questions may not apply but if they do you may have some more steps that need to be completed to get the card running.  Been a long time since I used an isa card.  I recomend you go to dit and pay 9.00 for a pci card.  Will make life easier.  I love my realtek 8139.
