We are delighted to announce that RSA Security has gone the extra mile
in supplying the speaker for the Identity Management session, by sending
out Ms. Margie Cashwell, Senior System Engineer & Manager, West Region
AND has added an audience participation Workshop session were attendees
are encouraged to bring in real world problems they are attempting to
solve! Cashwell's talk will focus on: Challenges & Potential
Resolutions, Identity Validation Methodology, Assurance (Non
repudiation), Trust (internal/external to the enterprise), and Security
& Privacy (identity and data).

If you are interested in the technology issues and effects on privacy
surrounding identity technologies and National Identification Cards,
then you won't want to miss the 3rd ISAW Security and Privacy WG Meeting
on July 18, 2002 at the Westside Community Conference Center. As always
this day is designed so that you can attend a single session, or stay
for the day -- in all cases it is FREE to attend.

Thursday, July 18, 2002

Westside Community Conference Center
3534 South 108th Street -- Just Off Grover!
Omaha, Nebraska 68144

This is an issue that effects all citizens and businesses alike, and we
hope that you will bring not just your technical people, but those in HR
and Administration that are responsible for implementing Identity
technologies.

As has become the tradition, we are holding this meeting in conjunction
with other local user groups and start off the day with the
long-standing ITC Breakfast. This is an excellent way to network and
meet your peers. The breakfast Keynote is Dr. Blaine Burnham from the
Nebraska University Consortium on Information Assurance speaking on
"Privacy and Identity". This looks to be and excellent talk from a
leader in the National INFOSEC community.

The Lunch Keynote is FBI Special Agent Pete Sakaris speaking on the
"Patriot Act: The effect on IT professionals." SA Sakaris is one of a
handful of cyber counterterrorism agents in the bureau that also hold
the internationally recognized CISSP certification for security
professionals.

The four mini seminars are on technologies related to Identity, and
include The Rise and Fall of the Fortezza Card, Identity and Smart
Cards, and Biometrics. The dinner Town Meeting style discussion is
co-hosted by the UNOmaha Student Chapter of ACM is on "The Role of the
National ID Card" features panelists from the ACLU, FBI, local security
experts and politicians.
