[olug] Problems with gnome Panels

Howdy,

I've been having a problem with  gnome panels  disappearing (crashing)
through a bug in the software. I can usually get them back for a session
or two by deleting my personal  //gnome* directories. and restarting X
Didn't work today however . Bugzilla pops up and asks if I want to
report the bug, I did that once and apparently others are having the
same probllems.

I'm running RH 7.2 w/ kernel 2.,4.7. It seems to me I read somewhere
that this happens frequently  with 7.2.  Either gnome or RH had a fix
out but, for the life of me, I can't find where I read that.! :-(

Any pointers or tips are welcome.
