[olug] Go figure

After pulling my hair out these last 2 weeks with my mandrake 8.0 distro
not booting up right and once I did get it too boot up it had no sound
and everything was generally screwed up as far as where the files
normally are.Last night I downloaded and burnt the cd's for mandrake 8.1
and installed it today and it boots up and works fine.I guess 8.0 just
didn't like my new computer......shrug....has anyone else had a problem
like this?
