Jeff,
I can live with you hating my analogy as long as I got my point across. I
didn't entirely agree with all your points either in the dissection of my
analogy, but I'm not going to worry about that very irrelevant debate. In
all honesty, like all analogies it does not parallel 100%, nor was it
intended to.

First, let me make this clear: I don't disagree with the opinions you have
about
ease of use. I agree things need to be done to make desktop *nix more
end-user
friendly. The latest Mac OS is a nice big move in that direction.
Now with that being said, I am going to take issue with this often used and
in my opinion, very bad analogy.
