what switch are you refering to? the 5000 or is it plugged into another switch? If it is the
5000 you are refering to, what is the output of "show interface" , If it is
another switch you are refering to, what is the configuration state on that port?


If it is a switch/switch connection, I suggest you hard set both sides, autonegotiation
between different vendors ( and even sometime the same vendor ) does not work very good.
