I have no idea -- I've haven't touched Red Hat since 4.2. I'm a SuSE
man.

Yes . . . and somewhat better.
The main reason I upgraded was that I had 2.4.2 before and early 2.4.x
had some security issues, VM stuff, etc.

I think so though I haven't tested it yet, but I will . .. in the 2.4.2
kernel, it had a nasty habit of killing my processes when they got too
large. This was annoying when you are using Python to put a 5Mb XML
file into a DOM. =)
