It's NSI that is holding up the process for some reason, I transferred
bstc.net and a few other domains without a hitch... It might just be
because olug.org expired on April 26, BUT I initiated the transfer
almost 60 days before that, in any case NSI just bites. I've emailed the
dotregister folks and they have told me a few horror stories with the
transfer from NSI, and they are "working the issue"

	I transferred my domain with http://www.register.com from
http://www.networksolutions.net, easy, no hitch, they handle all the DNS
config stuff via HTML formage, they been in business longer than 2
weeks. NetworkSolutions was a pain (emailing back and forth) compared to
Register, and Register does DNS, no extra cost.  Which is good for
certified amateur computer professionals like myself who harbor data
manager philosophy---backup and destroy (not necessarily in that order)
