Linux Journal a couple months back had a huge multimedia focus, and a large
article on this.
I've got a Huappage WinTV card that I've used for more than 2 years to watch
tv on my linux box. I recently purchased an 8mm video camera and have
playing around with Broadcast 2000. The program is fantastic, although it
has a little bit of a learning curve. My only trouble seems to be my
harddrive can't keep up with the files I want to write. Since you want to do
your editing in uncompressed form, 10 seconds of audio/video comes to about
70 meg. I drop frames like a madman trying to keep up. Might be time to
invest in that ATA-100 controller.

Okay, in the spirit of learning what software is available,
I ask this
question:
Does anyone know any decent video editing packages? I have
a nice,
Video4Linux comptabile capture card and want to do something
with it
(such as, say, capturing video).
Thanks,
Jason
