Did you burn the CD from and ISO without any errors reported or was it
given
to you?
What type of system do you have?
How old? What brand motherboard? What processor?
Did any other distributions install and run?
Did Mandrake 8 install and run?
Is your HD on the primary or secondary or another add in card
controller?
When I installed Progeny 1.0 this year I had to boot from floppy but it
did partition and install and booted into the xwindows.
It installed from CD without floppy and I created and emergency boot
floppy. I had to use the emergency boot floppy after restart because it did
not make the HD bootable for some unknown reason.
I had the same thing happen with Engarde Secure Linux.
