Could work.  That would allow for filtering of the two so the
announcements don't get lost in the mass of e-mails I get every day.

Actually instead of the planners meeting in person there could be a 3rd
mailing list for them to kick ideas around.  I also thing there should
be "officers" like President, V.P., secretary, "marketing", a librarian,
the "planning commitee", etc.  It would give the group a bit more
credibility out in the real world...Keeping track of "members" wouldn't
hurt either.
(I REALLY think that the group should try and maintain some sort of
library so that people who are somewhat new to linux have a resource
available.)

Good point.  Sometimes the basics can get lost and they are often the
best answer.

I do like the ides but if we keep the meetings at Last Resort then this
may not be possible. Plus who would pay for the pizza?

I also think that a venture into the BSD (Or even UNIX in general)
releases would be a boost.  I own OpenBSD 2.7 but still can't get the
damn thing to install right. (It always fails when it tries to create
the file system.)

Just some thoughts.
