[OLUG] Terminal Settings

Has anyone run into problems with TERM settings when connecting to other
machines?  The problem I'm running into is that the 'SunOS 5.6' I'm
connecting to doesn't recognize 'linux' (from console) or 'xterm-color'
(from within X)?
