I forgot to mention that several of the kernel APIs are supposedly
changing with the 2.4 kernel, which means that software that talks to
the 2.2 kernel may not talk to the 2.4 kernel properly.  This mainly
affects drivers and modules but may affect other pieces of software
too.  Not all of the software affected will be listed in the Changes
file since the Changes file only pertains to software required for
building and running the kernel.
