A good source for old machines (perfect for Linux) is the State equipment
surplus auctions. Computers usually go for around $20-40 with monitor.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to part with any of those "scrap"
machines for a small reimbursement? It must be rough to have so many
scrapable machines. :)
