[olug] Weather stations for Techies

If I recall correctly, the real geeks at Air Force Weather used these at
home: http://www.davisnet.com/weather/index.asp

Probably more than you're looking to spend, but you could save money if
you're handy mechanically as far add mounting goes.

It all boils down to what you want to measure (i.e. how many and what type
of sensors ), how long you want to archive/analyze data, and how "easy" you
want it to be to install and operate.

You could probably do something real fun and cheap with an rPi or something
similar at the cost of your time.
