[olug] FW: HP Proliant Server - does it have any value

I just went and looked and the only thing flashing on mine are NICs everything else is green. Is this when you are only one PS? I honestly haven’t powered down the chassis since I bought it a year or so ago.

I used to be the guy that was always buying up all of the old used servers on craigslist but finally decided to get smart and get a nice big one for all of my VMs. The power saved is worth it in hindsight.

Anyone looking for a server or multiple servers I would recommend going on eBay and looking at a Dell C6100. 4 nodes and just about as efficient as a normal 1950.
