[olug] [OT]: [Really OT]: windows 7

Unfortunately Windows is a necessary evil mainly due not to Windows itself but because of all the $$$ expended in Enterprise products. Not to mention the folks in charge have a M$ mentality. FDR still uses Windows/SLES/AIX but Sun is on the way out. Looking at the M4 the OCZ Vertex 4 has better specs - 120K IOPS, 500+R/400+W with a 5yr warranty for 99$ at newegg. Really dunno if those numbers correlate into any real world differences. Either way hope to have bookoo fun.

SSDs - I've got a 256G M4 from crucial that, I believe, is competitive with OCZ.

I only touch windows with a 10 foot pole, or actually across a network.
