[olug] AMD or Intel for multi-core apps?

I usually use CPUMark to do my evaluation on CPU's i don't have physical
access to benchmark.

The intel i7's are in the lead atm, but the amd fx-8120 is a badass and i'm
strongly considering purchasing it for my next rig.

i use a Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU           W3690  @ 3.47GHz in my
desktop/workstation. its a mean machine, but probably expensive.
