[olug] Weird Internal HDD Question

So I working on a secure kiosk style liveCD and I want to disable access to
the internal HDD.
I am thinking of hacking /bin/mount a bit to exit it "sda" is attempted as a
device to mount.

Short of re-compiling the kernel, any other suggestions.  Personally I would
like a kernel flag
passed at boot by grub during the boot.  but my googleFU is weak this
morning.
