I do like this move today by HTC.

Reading the Microsoft patents, it probably does infringe simply because
they are intentionally intended to have a wide interpretation.  My
non-lawyer opinion is that this patent tactic should be intended to
protect you and allow you to sell this technology but not keep others from
doing so.  They patented sudo right?  :)
