[olug] Heart attack after 11.04 upgrade

While there are a some things I don't like about the new GUI, there are also
a few things I do like. The default "app" search is something I have gotten
used to and like in some ways. I do not, however, like the fuzziness of the
sidebar. I honestly don't much care if the bar is on the bottom or side,
it's just that it seems to cleverly hide itself whenever I want to be using
it and get in the way when I'm doing something else. The top bar being
"window relative" is something I can live with, but I probably wouldn't have
recommended the change.

I'm liking Ubuntu less and less as it becomes more "use friendly" and less
flexible/powerful. I'm still trying out new distro's from time to time,
although I haven't tried mint since back when it was just Ubuntu with a
Windoze Vista style menu. I may give it a go again, as I still want
something Debian based. Apt-get not being expendable has already been
mentioned.
