Two options that may not have been mentioned.

1. SDF (See below)
2. AWS Free Tier

If you have an Amazon account you can run a free instance of Amazon's
basic AMI which is CentOS and have complete control over the
server. For the first 12 months this will cost just about nothing.

SDF might also work, but you'll have less control.
