Gigabyte usually has a higher quality product than Intel or Supermicro for desktop boards. For example they use solid jap caps, 2oz copper PCB, and have dual BIOS's. The p965, p35 and p45 chipped gigabyte boards have been rock solid stable for me even with a 50% overclock.
