I really enjoyed the talk Adam gave on ODF and OpenOffice. But this caught
my attention while checking out
osnews.com today. Not really surprised but this will not help anyone trying
to talk people, friends and family to
ODF. Verified it here: http://www.sun.com/software/star/odf_plugin/get.jsp

[image: SUN Microsystems] <http://www.osnews.com/topics/7> When Oracle
announced its intentions to buy Sun Microsystems, many were worried about
the future of Sun's large open source software portfolio, which includes
things like Solaris, Java, MySQL, and more. It seems like Oracle is still
struggling <http://www.osnews.com/comments/23163> with what to do with the
large body of products Sun entails; they've started charging 90 USD
per user<http://www.h-online.com/open/news/item/Oracle-start-charging-for-Sun-s-Office-ODF-plug-in-981132.html>for
the Microsoft
Office ODF plugin <http://www.sun.com/software/star/odf_plugin/get.jsp>.
