If you want an HTPC for an HD flatpanel screen, you need a GPU chipset with
hardware acceleration. 1080p resolution is not easy to achieve, especially
given the Linux GPU driver situation.

IMO the best HTPC on the market is the Mac Mini running Boxee. If
you're dead-set on running Linux, you will have to sacrifice Netflix
streaming.

Or you can wait for this: http://www.boxee.tv/box
Pretty sure it'll be running an embedded Linux distro, so no Netflix either.
