Since you're a Marine I'll offer to use some "friend capital".  If you need transport, short term, and you are willing to pay, I know a few cab drivers in town.  Some might give you a break, especially when it comes to running a tab until the paychecks show up.

At the last OLUG meeting a recruiter from Tek Systems showed up (out of the blue!) and passed out his business card.  Grant Bockelman, 402-952-1560, 9140 W. Dodge Road, Suite 350.  To take a bus out there you need the #2, walk north on 24th to Dodge, take the #2 to 90th.  I think 9140 W. Dodge is the second building (9110 is DTN?).

If you can sling steaks or beers (hmmm, beer!) the Old Market (starts at 13th and Jackson, about 1 mile ENE from 24 & Leavenworth) has lots of bars and resturants.  (Don't walk home at night!  I worked of and on as a bouncer for 12.5 years and I would never walk at night in your part of town.)
