don't use windows.
don't buy anything with windows.
don't buy from companies that include windows in the price.
plenty of options out there.

i would say the same for apple (they would be worse than M$ if given the
opportunity).
good hardware/design...sht software, sht support, sht EULA.


if your employer uses closed software, convince the company otherwise.
when the choice is *free vs. not free* you should have no trouble convincing
anyone of reason....
...especially when the free product is far superior in every way.
any company that doesn't get this is of questionable stability, IMO.




the M$-NT "'family' of 'products'" has sucked balls since server2003
anyway*, so why subject yourself to it's suckness.




*disclosure - i haven't had 2008, only supported it once, never bought a
license
