[olug] hostname resolution through WINS

I have a linux server in a mostly Windows-based network, and currently we
don't have a domain controller, and I don't really have the time to set one
up. I'd like to be able to resolve hostnames on the linux machine through
WINS, and I've set it up as a WINS server. I can successfully resolve IPs
using nmblookup, but other utilities are still returning unknown host. Is
there a way to make the system resolve hosts through nmb automatically?
