Could this possibly have something to do with DOCSIS 3.0?

Either that or someone at Cox got fired and wanted to go out with a bang. ;)

I've gotten an email from Cox that I am one of a select group of customers for
whom they are magnanimously giving, free of charge, a brand new cable modem.
Mine is apparently very old.

I actually got the modem by Fedex a week or so ago.

Then a few days ago, I got a recorded message telling me to hurry up and
actually hook the darn thing up (I hadn't yet, and don't know if I want to).

Has anyone else heard of this? It seems out of character for Cox to actually
give stuff away.

	Jack
