We searching for experienced admins to fill a couple of positions in

Description:
Responsible for system administration of a high performance computing
resource that currently is connected with Infiniband and a Panasas
storage system. The cluster system runs LINUX and/or Windows. Maintain
and upgrade hardware, operating systems, and related aspects
(networking, SAN storage, WAN connections) of this system, perform
backups, manage user accounts, install new software (commercial and
public domain), maintain system security, and monitor system usage.
Evaluate, recommend and/or negotiate specific hardware purchases. This
system will be integrated with national computational grids;
installation and maintenance of the grid protocol software stack will be
required. Supervise, distribute and coordinate tasks for several
graduate and undergraduate students. Work in cooperation with other
staff and researchers associated with research computing. Support users,
including use of and access to this and/or other Research Computing
Facility resources. Position requires frequent and effective
communication of technical, operational and educational information in a
variety of formats. Two positions available.  

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other computational science
plus two years experience administering a clusterrequired; equivalent
education/experience considered. Must have programming and systems
knowledge in LINUX. Familiarity with MYSQL, HTML, PHP, PERL, and/or
other Shell Scripts is necessary.  

Preferred: 
Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
Knowledge of Windows desirable. Teaching experience at the college level
helpful. Knowledge of an application area desired.
