[olug] FIrefox and Thunderbird issues (Kubuntu 8.04)

I have Firefox and Thunderbird on my home machine. I'm running Kubuntu 8.04.

I did an update where kernel headers were updated and now when I open Firefox it shuts down immediately.

I went to a console and typed "firefox -safe-mode" and got a segmentation fault.

I tried to remove and re-install and still get the same error.

I get a little further in Thunderbird in that I can open my inbox but when I click on a message (either new or old)...thunderbird closes immediately.

Going into the console and typing "thunderbird -safe-mode" gives me a segmentation error also.

I also tried "apt-get remove thunderbird" then apt-get install thunderbird" with the same results as above with firefox.

Help appreciated.

Joe
