I think you sat next to me.

My friend Ben was in town for the weekend, so I brought him along as 
well. Since he lives in Minneapolis I doubt you will see him around much.

FWIW, my buddy Ben brought down his "garage computer" a pIII optiplex 
and we installed xubuntu 8.04 on that.

It was a nice time to sit down and see that his computing needs 
could/would be met feature by feature. After downloading a few packages 
and such, it seems like we covered everything.

I hope his label printer works ok... I couldn't test that because he 
didn't bring his printer. So that would be the nail in the coffin, so to 
speak; if the printer works he could switch his "house computer" as well.

I get a chuckle ... because he tried to stump me by asking for shn audio 
files playback. But that is working fine.

PS: I was thinking of playing with open wengo &c, as an alternative to 
skype. But I guess I should maybe post a thread on that or something...
