Where I work, we have a number of apps that won't work on Vista.  We
order all of our machines from CDW, and have no trouble finding
machines with XP.

The reason this might be helpful to you is because CDW has a program
that allows employees to purchase anything their company can, WITH
their company discount.  If you or any of the people you are dealing
with can get that sort of access, it should take care of your problem

At the very least, an outlet that caters to business more than
consumers will probably still have XP machines available.
